Agent Usage MonitorNative AI Quota Dashboard
Panel meters that put AI quota where the Linux desktop already lives.
Linux port of an open-source Windows usage monitor, for Pop!_OS COSMIC and GNOME desktops, tracking Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex quota windows from the top panel.
Built on CodeZeno’s open-source Claude Code Usage Monitor (MIT). The Linux port is not public yet.
What I built
- Rust and libcosmic panel applet with compact colour-coded usage meters, reset countdowns, hover details, and unavailable-state handling
- GNOME Shell extension that brings the same meters to Ubuntu and other GNOME desktops, sharing provider choices with the COSMIC applet
- Cursor monthly usage pools alongside Claude Code’s 5-hour and weekly limits and Codex’s 7-day limit, each provider toggled from a panel gear menu
- Local Python dashboard that retrieves provider usage, parses Codex rate-limit events as a fallback, and caches normalised results locally
- Designed to collect no prompts, responses, analytics, or telemetry, keeping authentication tokens in memory only
- User-level installer that needs no sudo, with automated Python tests
